We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children, staff and visitors, and to promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their own safety or the well-being of others.

Click on our links to find out more about how we can work together to nurture our children, develop their emotional wellbeing, and protect them from harm.

We recognise that children have a fundamental right to be protected from harm, and will take all possible steps to ensure the children in our care are protected. Harm may include emotional or physical abuse, neglect or sexual abuse. In the modern world, we are also aware of the risks children face when online, as well as from child sexual exploitation (CSE), forced marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM) and radicalisation. All our staff understand they have a duty to report any concerns they may have about a child's safety or wellbeing.  In most circumstances, we will endeavour to discuss concerns about a child with his/her parents or carers. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with social care and/or the police without parental knowledge.

As a school, we recognise that some of our children are Young Carers, and take on additional duties outside school which may involve caring for an adult, sibling or other family member at home. We run a Young Carers group in school and work closely with the Hounslow Young Carers Project. You can find more information on our Young Carers web page.

Should you have any concerns about the wellbeing of a child, please contact the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead, Miss Bridger, via the school office (020 8890 2584).  In her absence, please speak to the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Kaura, or the Headteacher, Miss Willis. For more information, please read our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and our Safeguarding and Child Protection Leaflet.

Are you worried about internet safety and online exploitation? Are you worried about anyone else?

CEOP is a command of the National Crime Agency, and is dedicated to tackling the sexual abuse and exploitation of children and young people. CEOP is here to help young people (up to age 18) who have been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online or in the real world. We also offer advice and links to support in response to other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying or hacking. For information, advice and to report concerns directly to CEOP, visit the Safety Centre by clicking on the Click CEOP button.
